There are many different paths to recovery. Over 50 million adults in the United States reported recovering from their mental health or substance use as of 2021. Staying healthy in this process can be shaped by many factors and is unique to each person’s needs and story. The knowledge of lived experience in recovery is critical in shaping how we think about what better supports and care look like.
