AAHD, as a member, has joined the Mental Health Liaison Group, asking Congress to reject the Administration’s proposed elimination of SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration). The letter emphasizes SAMHSA’s role in community based MH and SU treatment and prevention and asks to retain SAMHSA as a stand-alone agency with adequate programs, resources, and staff.
