AAHD and the Lakeshore Foundation have joined a NHMH – No Health without Mental Health – led submission collaboration with Clinical Social Work Association and Policy Center for Maternal Mental Health to Battelle’s Partnership for Quality Measurement (PQM) request for comments on Digital Quality Measures (dQMs). Battelle serves as the HHS and CMS external quality measures analyst. Available here are the November 4 Battelle PQM request and the December 13 NHMH led collaboration submission.
Key Points of the NHMH led collaboration are:
- Integrated EHRs and dQM lead to better quality of holistic care, care coordination & outcomes
- Behavioral health data standards must be made stronger as lag medical data standards
- Interoperability standards should include BH data standards as key to clinical data exchange
- Patients privacy, control over data-sharing, and consent, built into data systems
- Involve patients and advocates early in dQM design phase
