Help create a healthier future by joining All of Us.

What is the All of Us Research Program?

The All of Us Research Program is a large research program. The goal is to help researchers understand more about why people get sick or stay healthy. If you decide to join All of Us, you will be contributing to an effort to improve the health of generations to come.

Researchers will benefit from having access to data from people in all populations, including people who live with rare diseases. Rare disease research is filled with obstacles, including small patient populations, limited data, and diseases that are often complex and poorly understood. These challenges can be difficult when faced alone. However, when participants, researchers, clinicians, and advocates work together, progress can accelerate.

Why join the All of Us Research Program?

It may be that your family has a history of cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure, or a rare genetic condition. Whatever the reason, you may help change the future of health by participating in the All of Us Research Program.

The All of Us Research Program is a historic effort to accelerate research and improve health. By taking into account individual differences in lifestyle, environment, and biology, researchers may uncover paths toward delivering personalized health care.

The more we know about what makes people unique, the more customized health care can become. That is why we’re asking one million or more people to join us.

If you are living with a diagnosed rare disease, living with prolonged health symptoms that have gone undiagnosed, or suspect that you have a family history of rare disease, we encourage you to join this program. Your input — along with that of others — could help researchers drive scientific progress.
