AAHD has joined the Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities (CCD) advocating elimination of two waiting periods once a person has been determined eligible for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) – 5 months for receipt of SSDI monthly cash payments and 2 years for receiving Medicare services and supports.
