BSBVI provides services to eligible individuals, including adaptive training, which provides individualized training in home management, Braille, low vision aids, communication, and vocational skills; the Business Enterprise Program, which prepares legally blind people to operate food service businesses in public buildings throughout the state; independent living/daily living, which provides low vision aids and individualized training in home management, daily living skills, mobility, and communication skills enhancements for people age 55 and older, as well as to people under age 55 who meet established income guidelines and are unable to pursue a vocational goal; low vision exams and aids, which may include visual exams and adaptive aids for employment and every day needs; mobility training, which helps clients learn to maneuver safely and confidently in familiar and unfamiliar surroundings; and vocational rehabilitation, which includes vocational evaluations, psychological testing, counseling and guidance, adaptive training, mobility training, job readiness training, learning job seeking skills, assertive technology, job site modification, and transportation.

Vocational Rehabilitation services are available to people with disabilities through a statewide network of office locations. Children with Special Health Care Needs (CSHCN)
CSHCN assists children and youth (ages 0-22 years old) at increased risk for chronic physical, developmental, behavioral, or emotional conditions that require health and other services beyond those usually needed by children in the state.
