Through the initiative of the AAHD Research Director and colleague disability researchers, AAHD and the Lakeshore Foundation have submitted comments to HHS suggesting expanded disability inclusion data elements in the U.S. Core Data for Interoperability (USCDI). Disability is currently in the USCDI health assessment; we are proposing that disability also be included in the patient demographics section.
