Announcement – Medicaid Action and Policy Impact Tracker

AAHD is proud to announce the launch of a collaboration with the Human Services Research Institute (HSRI) and the Milken Institute School of Public Health at George Washington University with funding from the WITH Foundation. In the year ahead, we will be providing accessibility remediation and communications support for “MAP-It: Medicaid Action & Policy Impact Tracker for Disability and Aging Supports.”

This critical project will offer tools for advocates to track state-level changes to Medicaid in the roll-out of HR1, with a focus on home and community-based services (HCBS). We look forward to providing assistance with the production of plain-language materials for organizations and individuals to engage in advocacy where they live.

On MAP-It, the Medicaid Action and Policy Impact Tracker for Disability and Aging Supports. MAP-It will help ensure that Medicaid policy changes affecting home and community based services do not happen in the dark. By making state-level actions visible and understandable as they occur, the project will support people with disabilities, advocates, and community organizations to respond early, engage effectively, and hold decision-makers accountable.
