Wyoming Department of Health’s Aging Division
Services include supportive services, nutrition services, community based in home services, mental wellness coordination services, community service employment for older Americans, allotments for vulnerable elder rights protection activities, long term care home and community based waiver services, assisted living facility waiver services, the National Family Caregiver Support Program, home health services, nursing home services, hospice services, state-licensed shelter care, the Ombudsman Program, Centenarian Program, and an information and referral service. Also provided is the Disease Prevention and Health Promotion Service, which includes health risk assessments, routine health screening, fitness activities, nutrition counseling, health information education for individuals or groups, home injury control services, medication management, informational programs concerning Medicare benefits, and health promotion programs relating to chronic disabling conditions, alcohol and substance abuse reduction, smoking cessation, weight loss and control, and stress management.

Wyoming Department of Health’s Community and Public Health Division, Children’s Special Healthcare Program (CSH)

CSH provides coordination of care, assisting families with services in the community or state; referrals to parent support groups; financial assistance for limited medical conditions and diseases; funds for translation services needed by CSH clients; limited funding for transportation; metabolic and genetic services; and specialty care clinics including audiology, cardiac, cleft palate, developmental,  diabetes, endocrinology, gastro-intestinal, genetic, hemophilia, metabolic, nephrology, neurology, neurosurgery, neurotube defect, orthopedic, pulmonary/cystic fibrosis,  rehabilitation, spinal/scoliosis, and urology.

Wyoming Department of Health’s Developmental Disabilities Division (DDD)
DDD is comprised of community programs, which include Acquired Brain Injury, Adult DD, and Child DD Waivers, as well as the state respite program; The Early Intervention and Education Program, which assists the regional child development centers serving young children with disabilities (birth through 5 years) and their families across Wyoming; and The Wyoming Life Resource Center, a state-owned facility operated under the Department of Health that provides care, learning, and job opportunities for Wyoming residents with significant intellectual and developmental disabilities, brain injuries, and long-term medical and therapeutic needs such as physical, occupational, and speech therapy.

Wyoming Department of Health’s Diabetes Prevention and Control Program (DPCP)
DPCP provides the following support and resources:  education and training of diabetes educators and other health care providers who work with individuals with diabetes; the development of diabetes education materials; implementation of public awareness campaigns; educational programs on diabetes self-management for people with diabetes; and development of programs aimed at reducing health disparities for high-risk populations regarding diabetes prevention and control.

Wyoming Department of Health’s Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services Division (MHSASD)
MHSASD is comprised of The Children’s Mental Health Waiver, a Department of Health Medicaid program that provides individualized services and support based on unique strengths and needs of children and youth with serious emotional disturbances and their families;  the Children’s Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act Demonstration Grant, designed to improve the quality and cost of care for Medicaid and SCHIP children with serious behavioral health disorders; the Court Supervised Treatment Program, which helps participants break the cycle of substance abuse and crimes committed as a result; the Wyoming Substance Abuse Prevention Program; The State of Wyoming Suicide Prevention Program; the Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Block Grant program, which strives to support substance abuse prevention and treatment programs at the State and local levels; The Wyoming statewide Through With Chew Program, which creates awareness about the economic and health-related impact of smokeless tobacco products and focuses on policy change and promotion of cessation for spit tobacco users; and Women’s Substance Abuse Treatment programs, which include intensive outpatient programs and inpatient treatment for women.

Wyoming Department of Workforce Services’ Vocational Rehabilitation Services
Services provided include eligibility assessment; facilitation of diagnosis and treatment of physical and mental impairments; counseling and guidance; Personal Assistance Services; referral services; job search, placement, and retention assistance and career follow-up; vocational and other training services; transportation services; deaf and blind interpretive services; rehabilitation teaching and technology services; occupational licenses, tools and equipment; self-employment opportunities; transition services from school to work; and supported employment services.
