AAHD Partners

The American Association on Health and Disability (AAHD) collaborates with numerous non-profit organizations; state departments of health, developmental disabilities, and mental health; universities; and private corporations, including health plans. AAHD staff previously served as Chair of the Friends of the NCBDDD at CDC and Chair of the Friends Advocacy Coalition. AAHD serves on the American Public Health Association, Disability Section executive committee. AAHD staff has served on the SAMHSA National Wellness Campaign steering committee. AAHD staff serves on the NACCHO National Disability Workgroup and has served on the HHS ONC (Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology) Health IT Policy Committee, Consumer Empowerment Workgroup.

AAHD serves on National Quality Forum (NQF) Measure Applications Partnership (MAP) Coordinating Committee (July 2021-present); NQF TEP on Social and Functional Risk Adjustment Within Quality Measurement (April 2022-present); NQF Medicare Hospital Star Ratings TEP (June-November 2019 and September-October 2020); workgroup on Medicaid adult measures (appointed 2016 and 2017); Medicaid-CHIP Scorecard Committee (appointed October 2018); and Measure Sets and Measurement Systems TEP (June 2019-August 2020). AAHD was a member of the NQF workgroup on persons dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid (July 2012-July 2017) and NQF population health task and was the NQF representative of the Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities (CCD) Task Force on Long Term Service (2012-2017).  AAHD served as the 2016-2017 NQF duals workgroup liaison to the NQF clinician workgroup; 2015-2016 and 2014-2015 NQF duals workgroup liaison to the NQF PAC/LTC workgroup.

AAHD serves on the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Consumer Advisory Council and serves on two committees of the Core Quality Measure Collaborative (CQMC).
