U.S. Core Data for Interoperability (USCDI) – Expanded Disability Inclusion comments submitted to HHS; Through the initiative of the AAHD Research Director and colleague disability researchers, AAHD and the Lakeshore Foundation have submitted comments to HHS suggesting expanded disability inclusion data elements in the U.S. Core Data for Interoperability (USCDI). Disability is currently in the USCDI health assessment; we are proposing that disability also be included in the patient demographics section. Available are the current USCDI data classes and elements (last finalized in 2023) and the April 9 AAHD-Lakeshore submission. AAHD also joined a submission of scholars through the Disability Equity Collaborative – U.S. Core Data for Interoperability (USCDI) – Expanded Disability Inclusion (2)
